“… Madison Lyric Stage is among those who are continuing to create and produce works of art …”
            Zip 06/Shore Publishing. October 7, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has been and continues to be an extremely difficult situation for all of us, and the arts world is no exception … we had no choice but to cancel our 2020 season.  However, we are planning, with great excitement, a marvelous tenth season in 2021! And, importantly, all of our events will be in an outdoor environment for safety and comfort.

We will be bringing you our previously planned productions of Mart Crowley’s landmark play The Boys in the Band in July, and our beautiful double bill of Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Schoenberg’s Erwartung in September.

Our main season will open in May with a wonderful evening of the music of Stephen Sondheim, entitled The Sun Sits Low.

Subscription holders will be able to transfer their 2020 tickets to these events in the 2021 season, and the list of dates will come out in due course. If you have a 2020 subscription, you will be notified individually about the process.

Your health and safety are our number one priority, and we have decided that we will be presenting these three events on the grounds of the Deacon John Grave House in Madison, under an enormous tent in the open air. This allows for safe social distancing and comfort at the same time … so that you can focus on the wonderful art for which MLS is known.

Additionally, there will be several smaller events in the spring/summer at other venues for you to enjoy!

If you have any questions regarding your presently held tickets, please email: mlsreservations@gmail.com, or call 203.215.6329.

Many thanks for your unbelievable support!  We can’t wait to see you in 2021!

Be safe and be well!
